Luke Robertson custom saddles and leather strives to make premium horse gear for the hills, the trail and for competition.

We use only the leather from the best tanneries in New Zealand and the USA to ensure a top quality product.  Stainless steel hardware is a must for those that want their tack to last, and resist the elements.

 

This is just a sample of the items made and carried in shop. If you should need repairs they can be handled urgently and returned by rapid courier.

 

 

Beautiful saddles for competition

Made from imported ‘Herman Oak’ leather

and stainless steel hardware with Montana

silversmiths silver.

 

These look great in the competition

arena. The close contact of in skirt rigging

on a high cutaway makes this style saddle

excellent for fine leg control.

 


Pleasure/Reiners

Discuss options for different seats and styles. Luke Robertson saddles are made mainly on ralide trees imported form the USA. While being very strong they also allow the saddle to remain reasonably light even with top quality heavy leather.

 

All rounders/breakers/ropers

This saddle was made to take a

beating but still be a very comfortable

close fitting western saddle. With

heavy double rigging and a roping

tree it can handle knocks. The

rigging is solidly connected to the

bottom of the seat holding it down

and a slight cutaway gives comfort

allow the rider to his or her legs onto

the horse. This saddle could be on a

bucking horse one day and in

All saddlery is made using either New Zealand or imported

American ‘Herman Oak’ leather. Hardware is imported

stainless steel where suitable with options for brass or nickel

plate. Unlike a lot of imported gear, this is of a premium

quality and made for long term use. I guarantee all of my
